During our Advanced Dog Training, we fine-tune the cues your best friend has already learned. Our goal is to give you and your dog the confidence to carry out these cues wherever you are and in any situation.
This is where we look at what the distractions are that break down the learned behaviors. We revisit setting your dog up for success. We focus on timing from your end so that you can be proactive, not reactive.
Expanding Your Dog’s Knowledge
We’ll also help your dog learn even more cues, including waiting and impulse control. Examples include: wait at the door, wait before you jump in the car, wait until I put on my coat.
We’ll also explore interruptions in action and drop on recall where you request that your dog stops coming toward you at a critical moment—something that might come in handy if your dog gets loose.
Here’s an example: Your dog is across the street from you and call her or him to come to you. But, out of nowhere, a car starts heading up the street. Eek! You need to teach your dog to STOP, drop down and stay there. With this training, your dog will learn that you’ll come and get him or her.
Finally, we address particular problem solving for any situation that has not been paired with your puppy’s verb cue or with incompatible behavior.
In addition to all of our regular training sessions, other services we offer include:
- In-Home Boarding
- Daily Walks
